   [ Bio ]

Hitomi has been playing AD&D 2nd edition since middle and high school (around 1988). He is an accomplished role-player and has played many roles throughout his campaigns. His favorite classes are paladin and mage. His online nickname is "Bane", taken from his most cherished paladin of recent campaigns.

   [ Favorite AD&D Moments ]

     1) When entering a castle one campaign as a paladin, I went in first, with the party hanging back behind outside, "Hello!!! Anyone home?" followed by telling the party, "I think nobody's here!" The whole party eventually got slaughtered in that castle.

     2) Playing a minotaur thief (yes a thief), I charged a black fully armored man (who, by the way, took my charge) with a horn rush, rolled a critical hit, scored a triple damage + special damage modifier (according to then-house rules for criticals) for a 78 point-damage single hit...at 3rd level. Then the armored man took out his sword and killed me in one hit while my horn was still gored in his abdomen. I was lucky I had a 20 constitution.

     3) With a 19 intelligence mage, I rolled a percentile check of 100 (when I needed a 95 or less) on a try to learn a new spell I found off a scroll. Our DM (Edgar) then joked about how you always seem to roll 100's when you don't want to or when it doesn't count. He proceeded to prove his point by rolling two consecutive practice percentile checks of 100 right in front of our amazed eyes.

True to form, when I was rolling a percentile die to determine how much level 3 experience I had for Telemir to start the campaign, I rolled a practice percentile check of 100 (i.e. - free pass to 4th level). I then proceeded to roll a 28. Jason and I couldn't stop laughing as I always seemed to roll well on my practice rolls only to fumble on my real rolls for the rest of the night.

   [ Quote ]

(While in the dark and being the only human in the party, I struck up a lantern and everyone exclaimed...)

     "Stupid blind paladin!"
